In the world today we see many people operating in various gifts for this is normal for the Word of God states in Romans 11:29 (KJV) ‘For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance’.
The amplified version of this scripture states, ‘For the gifts and His call are irrevocable (meaning God never withdraws them once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call). However, to be effective in our gifts and callings (such as: wisdom of the Spirit, word of knowledge through the same Spirit, faith by the same Spirit, gifts of healing by the same Spirit, working miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues; etc according to I Corinthians 12:8-10) it is necessary to have the anointing of the Holy Spirit evident in our lives.
No longer can we afford to sing, mime, preach, praise dance out of empty vessels, meaning without having a divine relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We can’t afford to keep coming to church one way & leaving the exact same way we came in. We no longer can afford not to read the Word of God or seek the Lord in prayer, and spend time in His presence. It is the anointing of God that makes the difference in our lives.
Time out for trying to be like Sister So & So or Brother So & So for when we view people in high places or who seem to have some level of success we have no idea all they had to encounter to obtain what they have. We can’t be so quick to judge one another when we make a mistake or when we fall short because Christ is at work in all of our lives & we are all pressing through to get to our permanent heavenly home.
So, today I want to challenge you to submit to whatever trial you may have to face on today, submit to long suffering for if we suffer for righteousness we shall also reign with Him. We must get into the Word of God and find out what the Holy Spirit wants to reveal to us where it pertains to our lives. We must practice seeking God daily & reading the Word daily and spending time in His presence daily. Know that you are a chosen generation and a royal priesthood according to I Peter 2:9 and you are who God says you are.
We all have different levels of anointing upon our life, for the anointing we have is suitable for the assignment Christ has given us. So, never wish you were as powerful as your neighbor for you don’t know the price!!! But, be reminded that the anointing of God is what makes the difference in our lives and not the gift only!!
