Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid

Help Us Spread the Word! Share…Share…Share

This is something we have all been taught but is it exactly true? We live in a society that teaches us to be counterfeits, hide our true feelings and put on a mask pretending to be living our “best life!”

But what do you do when it all falls apart? What do you do when people believe a lie? What do you do when your name is slandered and as a believer you are reminded of scriptures that say, Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” (Romans 12:19)

If you are a believer and share in the Christian faith, then you know at times this can be the last thing you want to hear, which is the Word of God especially when you have been silent regarding a specific subject matter for so long.

Some things are better left unsaid… Yeah i agree to a degree…

For so long too many underhanded things have been happening in our families, government, churches and beyond yet out of fear, people turn the other way.

We live in a day and time where society blames victims and the voices of those with large platforms are automatically believed because they are in a position of power. When in reality, a person can be as wrong as two left shoes but if they are in the right position where they can open doors for someone else, no one will ever address it.

I’ve been through this as well as heard horror stories of people experiencing abuse not only in romantic relationships but also from the pulpit to the pews. This is a growing epidemic and it needs to be addressed.

So, basically what I’m saying is NO! Some things are NOT better left unsaid. God gave us a voice and it’s time for us to use it! The key is in how you use it.Be prayerful, be strategic, be humble and be intentional. Be fearless.

Never let anyone silence your voice. Remember: opinions are just that, everyone has one but your truth belongs to you and no one can take it away from you. Speaking up may not be popular and may even cause you to have to walk alone at times; but it has its rewards. Be careful not to allow religious, weak people to cause you to harbor secret pain and abuse and suffer in silence when the truth is things need to be addressed.

Sure, you’ll have some who understand and others who won’t but as long as you have God on your side, you can get through anything!

Oh yeah imagine if people like Dr. Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Maxine Waters, Nelson Mandela, or even Barack Obama never spoke up? What if they were told to be quiet and pray about it. What condition would the world be in today? Exactly!

Comment below and share your thoughts. Know that I am mature enough to engage in healthy dialogue. I’m not easily offended and I understand that not all conflict is bad. Sharing our thoughts on these type of subject matters is how we grow. Now, with that being said, LET’S TALK!
