You ever seen someone that you hadn’t seen in a long time but when you see them it is as though nothing has changed about them whatsoever?
They still have the same job, drive the same car, wearing the same gear & talking the same talk.
In our minds we are like, wow they ain’t changed a bit.
Well as people of God some of us fall in this same category.
When people see us we are still talking the same talk (cursing, complaining, gossiping), walking the same walk (shouting on Sunday but acting like the devil all week long, still fornicating, lying, sleeping with other folk’s husbands/wives), still talking about what we want to do but have made no steps towards doing it.
People of God IT’S TIME TO COME UP!
It’s time for us to come up in our thinking as well as in our daily lives.
No longer are we to speak on the ‘shoulda/coulda/wouldas’ but take control of our lives & position ourselves to be used by God.
My Pastor, Apostle Elijah Forte’ always tell us that ‘if God is moving then why are we standing still’?
That’s something to think about huh?
If God has said ‘preach the gospel’, why are you trying to go to school to be a doctor?
If God has said, wait on Him to send you a spouse then why are you still going on this date & that date, knowing that you are not satisfied with any of them but are simply trying to satisfy your feelings of loneliness when in reality that is a void that only Jesus can fill.
I remember a few years back, a young lady by the name of Elder Aida Taylor preached a message entitled: RE-IGNITING THE PASSION. This is one message I will never forget. She talked about Jesus being our first love & how we will never be truly satisfied until we allow Him to fill those areas that were designed for only Him to fill.
Ladies & gentlemen, IT’S TIME TO COME UP!
We must no longer procrascinate on the vision & directions God has given us.
So what you don’t have the money to start your own business or to establish your own church.
If God said it, trust that He will supply ALL your needs (Philippians 4:19).
See, in my walk with the Lord I have learned that God never instructs us to do something that He is not going to equip us to do as well as supply all that we need to do it.
He simply wants us to be foolish enough to believe Him & take Him at His word.
I say ‘foolish’ because there are some of you that God has shown you things that if you shared with others they would call you a fool for believing it. Well, if God said it, I believe it, & that should be all of our attitudes.
Do you know that we as people are our biggest hold ups? If we would get somewhere & sit down long enough for God to speak to us & give us some instructions then maybe, just maybe He could share HIS plan with us, that way we can terminate ours because our plan ends in us getting the glory vs Him anyway.
So, choose today to obey God totally. Whatever God is calling you to do, simply obey Him. Obedience brings your blessings. We must be willing to lay our lives, our agendas, our plans down & seek God for His plan & desire to be manifested in our lives.
Make a decision to no longer remain where you are but to allow God to elevate you vs people. Because when God promotes you, people can’t do nothing about it. But when you allow people to promote you, trust me the very ones that celebrate & help push you to the top will leave you there to get eaten by wolves.
Give the Lord your all today. Let’s come up in our thinking, come up in our speech (how we conduct ourselves one with another), with our behavior (let’s practice doing what is right because it is right & not only when we are in the presence of others), let’s simply choose to come up higher where it pertains to the things of God so He may manifest Himself fully in our lives & work miracles to help draw many unto Him!
