1 Timothy 6:12 “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”.
Sometimes the pressures of life can so easily consume us if we are not on guards & continually filling our minds with the Word of God.
Contrary to what others may believe trials come to make us stronger. I believe that sometimes the Lord will allow us to experience certain things to show us where we really are in Him versus where we thought we were, and where He is trying to take us.
As children of God we must first dwell consistently in the secret place with the Father. We must have a real relationship (not just a religious experience) with Jesus in order to stand against the evils that exist in the world today. We must live a life of fasting, prayer & reading God’s word for it is so easy to get off track & hard to get back on track after we have lost our way, or appeared to do so.
I am convinced that it is easier to quite and walk away from a task that we know God has given us versus trusting Him to be our guide, to lead us, to make ways, to make what He has shown us possible.
Many of us would rather resume in places that are familiar and comfortable unto us versus trusting God enough to take continual steps of faith daily so that we may fulfill our ultimate purpose in HIM.
Trusting God also means we must discipline ourselves & learn the voice of God versus any other voice. For in the word of God the Lord states that His sheep know His voice & a stranger they will not follow. So my question to you is: Whose voice are you following?
What does this mean? We must tone out all of the other voices that speak contrary to the Word of God. Those voices telling you that you are nothing, that you can’t complete the task that is before you. The voices that are telling you that you have messed up & people will not receive from you. The Bible states, ‘he that is without sin let him cast the first stone’.
We have beat ourselves up long enough for not being perfect & for being human but the truth is it is no longer an excuse for we are to be striving for perfection daily.
If we would learn to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit vs our flesh then we would be a lot further than we are today. But God, with His good self is patient with us and although He already knew our end from our beginning & what our process would consist of He still chose to be patient & put up with us anyway.
I feel a praise right here! See, God is not so quick to give up on us like people are! God is one that was there from the beginning & will be right there until the end. People come in & out of our lives daily but one thing we can rely on is that God will NEVER leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
I don’t know about you but I am so glad that God did not give up on me. When I didn’t want to accept the call due to what others would think of me or say, or judge me because of my past. When my struggles became more & more but others had no idea that I was truly on the edge of a breakdown, my God came through & gave me a breakthrough!
So today I encourage you to FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH! Take your eyes off of people & place them on Jesus! What can man do to us that our father won’t protect us from? He told us that we didn’t have to fight for the battle belongs to Him not us. So all we have to do is SHOW UP & trust God to do the rest!
Remember Satan is the Father of lies & it is his #1 priority to destroy us! He is not after your vision, your ministry; etc but Satan is after your life as well as mine and I don’t know about you but I am not going down without a fight!
In my closing, remember the only way Satan wins is if we simply don’t fight for we have Jesus who dwells on the inside of each of us so therefore we are more than conquerors!
