In life we all make mistakes and honestly that’s how we growth. Unfortunately if we grew up in toxic environments where everything we did was critiqued and we were criticized for it, we may find ourselves as adults doing the same things to ourselves (and others) that was done to us.

I recently made a mistake I was embarrassed about and I prematurely announced this new move to everyone without consulting with God about it. All week I beat myself up for making such a hasty decision that happened because I was led by my emotions rather than Holy Spirit.

When you find yourself in this place, here’s what I encourage you to do…

  1. Take a deep breath.
  2. Access what took place.
  3. Repent for your wrongdoings
  4. Write out the lessons
  5. Move differently to avoid repeated error.

***If you find yourself in a place of repeated patterns and behaviors and are ready to break the cycle, I invite you to check out my best-selling audio training, BREAKING THE CYCLE OF FEAR here: https://womenofstandard.org/carlacannon.com/product/breaking-the-cycle-of-fear/
