Conviction vs Condemnation

Help Us Spread the Word! Share…Share…Share

Have you ever done or said something and immediately felt a nudge in your belly as to say, you shouldn’t have done that, or you shouldn’t have said that? Well, I believe we all have.  Now many people choose to ignore this feeling, and others choose to obey, but either way they both bring about consequences. Obedience is one that brings our blessings although having to say no to our flesh can be a struggle at times but that’s what makes having the Holy Spirit as our helper and counselor comes in at. And of course disobedience brings upon curses and suffering and so forth. See, it is one thing to suffer for righteousness sake but it is another thing to suffer due to our own disobedience.

One thing the Lord brought to my attention just this week was that I don’t have to go to this friend or that friend, or this person or that person to seek guidance regarding an important decision or thoughts about something regarding my life. But I can seek God for myself and spend time in His presence & wait on Him to see what He has to say. See, the reason God allows others to come & speak words that He has already told us is to either confirm or ensure we get it due to at times our lack of faith in believing we have truly heard from God. So, whenever faced with an important decision, (really any decision because Christ is concerned about our entire being & wants to be involved in every area of our lives from what we eat, to what we wear, to wear we go, to who we date, to who we hang out with and so forth) we should always consult with God and get his approval to either move forward or to abort the mission.

Now, as in all of our lives, there will  be times that we will miss God. Just face it, we are still learning and even after one being saved 20 years they still miss it at times so don’t beat yourself up. This brings me to the word: condemnation. Condemnation often brings feelings of regret, depression, withdrawal as well as a ton of other demonic spirits. I call them spirits because that’s what they are. As believers, we all have done some things, or in my case, many things that we aren’t too proud of, however, we are not to allow those things to have rule over us or even allow Satan to keep beating us over the head and reminding us of our yesterday. See, Christ states in His word that when we ask (not beg, but ask sincerely) for forgiveness, He does so, and casts our sins as far as the east is from the west and He also remembers our sins no more. So, with that being said, if Jesus doesn’t remember our yesterday why keep allowing ‘mama and them’, old friends, SATAN (because it is him that is using these individuals to continue to remind you of what you used to be or what you used to do), to keep pulling you backward in your mind to thoughts of all the mistakes you have made.

See, this is why I love Joyce Meyer which is one of my mentors in the gospel (visit her website @ www.joycemeyer.com for life changing topics on how to overcome the various attacks of Satan and also to obtain her new & revised book: The Battlefield of the Mind). Joyce Meyer did a complete series on the battlefield of our mind and how Satan uses our very thoughts to isolate us and bring us down into self pity, regret, and condemnation. Hopefully, by now you can see the difference between CONVICTION (what God does when we have done or said something that we shouldn’t have/ to fix this, simply repent sincerely with the intent to never do it again with the help of Jesus) and CONDEMNATION (what Satan brings to keep us in a pit as well as hinder us from obtaining all God has for us and also hinders us from enjoying life to the maximum potential in which Christ died for us to do).

I pray this teaching blessed you on today and I pray you will allow the word of God to bring conviction to those areas that you may need to allow God to deal with so he can transform your life into the full image of what He created you to be. Now, rise up and be the MEN & WOMEN OF STANDARD that you are!!! God bless!
