As a generation today we truly have become some of the most ungrateful people where it pertains to the area of being thankful.
We drive past the homeless man or woman & we read about the millions of people losing their jobs everyday but we have food on our tables, jobs to go to that help us take care of our families & yet we still have the audicity to complain & allow our focus to shift to that in which we do not have.
Everyone has a story & indeed our stories are not the same…but we all have one.
Every story is significant & every story will touch lives of those in which we are anointed to reach.
Therefore, we should never regret our past or look down on ourselves for the struggles we have had to encounter for you want to always be thankful for your cross.
For it’s in bearing your cross where you learn what you are really made of.
It’s in bearing your cross that you learn who God really is. Because one thing about it we can’t come out of situations on our own, even if we fail to pray & thank God, he is still gracious & merciful to deliver us even when we don’t have enough sense to pick up his word & do what it says & that’s release our faith & in all things give thanks.
Now that Thanksgiving is around the corner let’s not get caught up in the turkey, the stuffing & simply feeding our faces but let’s enjoy our loved ones. Let’s put away pettiness & show our love to those in which God has placed in our lives. Let’s set aside differences & come together & show love as Christ as ordered us to do. The Bible encourages us to owe one another nothing but love.
So what you know a particular family doesn’t really care for you? We must get to a place where we can love the “hell” right out of people. We must remain stable in our character & being that no matter what people say or do our stance is still: I LOVE YOU. Yes this can be a challenge but this is why Jesus commands us to work on our love walk daily.
So on today I challenge you to be thankful for your cross & thank the Lord for all he has done in your life & all he is positioning you to embrace. Stay focused on what you do have & continue to seek God & all that you desire will begin to overtake you where you will have room to bless others which is what this journey is all about.
Now go tell someone that may be having a hard time & don’t understand why they may be having to endure a season of hardship. Look them in the eyes & tell them: BABY, BE THANKFUL FOR YOUR CROSS! For on the other side of this situation is POWER! On the other side is endurance! Encourage them to have joy right now in midst of their storm for God is always working & he never slumbers nor sleeps.
So rest well knowing that God has you in the palm of His hand & no devil in hell can remove you!
BE THANKFUL FOR YOUR CROSS!
