3 Things to Keep in Mind While Online

Help Us Spread the Word! Share…Share…Share

With new social media platforms on the rise such as, Clubhouse that is always live and popping, I thought now was the perfect time to share strategies I’ve used over the years that I have found to be helpful.

In case you haven’t heard, Clubhouse is an audio-based social media app that allows people to converse about topics that interest them and is a great tool for intentional networking.

It is so easy to get caught up scrolling online and before you know it, the entire day is gone and you haven’t done one productive thing. Trust me, I get it. But time is like money. If you don’t tell it where to go, you won’t know where it went.

Here are 3 things to keep in mind while online:

  1. Intentional scrolling- If you are going to be online at least let it be for your benefit. Scrolling, liking and commenting on posts that you find to be helpful helps boost your algorithms which circulates your posted content to a larger audience. So if you are going to scroll, don’t just look. But liking, sharing and engaging is a great way to network and boost your platform in the process.

Also, be sure to follow people who speak on topics you would like to learn more about and inspires you to become a better person.

  2. Effective engagement- Now with that being said, you don’t have to comment on everything you watch. Listen, I did that on a page a year ago and it still comes back to haunt me today. So, save yourself the headache and only engage with posts that display who you are and that matter to you.

Clubhouse is a great platform to have your voice heard and expand your brand. But only engage in rooms that are discussing subject matters that YOU care about.

  3. Productive posting- Gone are the days where we are posting just to be posting. Be intentional, be clear and be YOU! If you don’t have anything to say, it is perfectly okay not to say anything. Trust me, I’ve been there.

One way to be productive online is to schedule your posts. Facebook has a feature that allows you to do so. On your cell phone you can download Business Suite and it will allow you to do so and is very convenient.

Tail wind is a great app to schedule your Instagram posts and they show up without any formatting issues as well. I use this in my business and it saves me time, energy and money. Oh did I mention the app is FREE? Yeah!!!!!! All you have to do is take one day out of the week and schedule your posts for the upcoming week and be intentional by responding to your community when they comment.

When you follow these three steps: intentional scrolling, effective engagement and productive posting it will lead to intentional impact which can also change your monthly income if you are strategic in your endeavors. It can also lead to long lasting connections/relationships personally and professionally.

Social media is a great tool and like anything else it’s all in how you use it.

I’d love to share more ways to properly use social media to build your business and get your message to the masses.
